On Monday 30th June EST Ivybridge celebrated its first birthday which involved balloons, banners and lots of fun! The four schools that were at the centre on that day each had a cake and kindly sang happy birthday to us as they blew out the candles.
All the children took home a certificate and rosette marking the occasion, along with a beanie donkey. The local paper came along and took some pictures and Bob Venn, principal of the centre, was interviewed on the local radio station.
Within the first year of opening, approximately 3,600 children have attended the centre, with more schools and groups showing an interest all the time.
