This Sunday (15th April 2012), The Donkey Sanctuary will be hosting its first ever combined Family Fun Day and Produce Show at its headquarters in Sidmouth, between 10am – 3pm.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the charity’s donkey assisted therapy programme, which provides therapeutic activities for children with additional needs and therapeutic visits for elderly people in the local community.
The following activities are on offer throughout the day for visitors to watch or take part in:
• Produce show (including classes for cakes, flower arranging and photography, entries are welcome at 50p per class) – deadline for entries 11am, judging at 11:30am
• Sidmouth Dog Training group ‘Heel work to music’ display’ – 11am
• Dog show (entries are welcome at £1 per class) – 1pm
• Easter egg hunt
• Selection of stalls
• Welly throwing competition
• Bouncy castle
• Face painting
• BBQ
• Children’s games and races
• Adoption donkey grooming
