Pictured with Cathryn is Jack. He was relinquished to our sister charity, The Donkey Sanctuary in 2005 by his owner as he was moving house. Sadly, Jack’s companion a shetland pony had recently been put to sleep. Jack came to EST Leeds in 2006. He is a very cheeky little donkey, he likes to pinch the staff's sweeping brushes and drags them across the yard. Maybe he's trying to help us!! He likes to play with the rubber feed bowls and often carries them off up into the top field – more exercise for the staff!! He is also partial to extra strong mints!!
Jack is one of the donkey riding therapy team and is currently being trained to pull a donkey cart which we use for the older children.
