Dust off your running shoes and help raise funds for EST on the Edinburgh Marathon

A Sidmouth-based charity providing donkey-riding therapy throughout the UK still has two places available for the May 2010 Edinburgh Marathon.

The Elisabeth Svendsen Trust for Children and Donkeys (EST) who provide donkey-riding therapy for children with special needs and disabilities, hopes to find keen runners for the popular event which takes place on Sunday 23rd May 2010. To take part, those interested must apply to EST by the end of March and be willing to take on the challenge of raising the minimum sponsorship of £500; a great help to the charity which makes no charge to the children who attend its five UK centres.

Tina Viksna, fundraising co-ordinator for EST, says: “To run the Edinburgh Marathon would be an amazing life achievement and be of enormous benefit to the children who derive so much from their therapeutic rides on the donkeys.”

“£500 is a great deal of money, but we can help you achieve your target with fundraising support and publicity. You will also have a personal contact here at The Elisabeth Svendsen Trust to help you every step of the way.”
