The Parents and Friends Association of a Birmingham donkey riding therapy charity will be holding a car boot sale on Sunday 11th July from 8.30am to 13.30pm in Sutton Coldfield.

The Parents & Friends Association (PFA) at the Birmingham centre of the Elisabeth Svendsen Trust for Children and Donkeys is organising the sale to raise much needed funds for the centre, which is located in Sutton Park. The aim of the PFA is to support the centre by holding fundraising events, and to encourage parents, friends and supporters to get involved with its work.

There will be refreshments available, and admission and parking is free for buyers. Sellers will be charged at £7.00 per car, and cars with trailers or vans will be £8.00 each.

PFA Vice Chairman Paul Rowe says: “We hope this car boot sale will prove to be a fun and popular way for us to raise funds for the Birmingham centre. Riding therapy is very beneficial to children with special needs and disabilities, and in addition to the children visiting the centre, the staff also operate a mobile unit which means they take donkeys out to the schools in the summer months, and they are able to do this because of their supporters and fundraising events like this one. So do come along and support this wonderful charity whilst earning yourself a few pennies!”

Please telephone Paul Rowe on 07976 290441 to book your pitch.

The Birmingham centre of the Elisabeth Svendsen Trust provides donkey riding therapy free of charge to around 150 children from 30 local schools each week and is entirely reliant on donations to fund its work.
