The Ivybridge centre is hosting a Barn Dance on Friday 25th May from 7.30pm to 11.30pm.
The Parents & Friends Association (PFA) at The Donkey Sanctuary’s Ivybridge centre, organising the evening of do-si-dos to raise funds for the centre.
Alongside the dancing there will be a caller and live band, a raffle, a hog roast and a bar to keep dancers refreshed. Tickets are £6 each for admission to the Barn Dance and must be purchased in advance by contacting the centre on 01752 690200.
EST Ivybridge is holding a special Nativity and carol service by candlelight on Wednesday 7th December from 6pm.
The evening’s service will be lead by local vicar Chris Osborne, there will be a children’s Nativity with real donkeys and music from the Salvation Army Band. Children from Yealmpstone Farm Primary will be singing carols, and Goosewell Primary will be taking part in the Nativity.
An Ivybridge boutique is holding a Fashion Show on Tuesday 27th September from 7.00pm at The Watermark, Ivybridge, to raise funds for EST Ivybridge.
Diana Boutique of Fore Street, Ivybridge, is holding the Fashion Show event which will include a catwalk show with fabulous clothes for women of all ages and sizes plus refreshments to make it the perfect ladies night out.
On Sunday 28th August, two local teams will be meeting at Ivybridge Rugby Club in a Charity Shield match to raise funds for EST Ivybridge.
The Charity Shield match between Ivybridge Colts RFC and Tavistock Colts RFC is being organised by The Elisabeth Svendsen Trust for Children and Donkeys (EST) and the teams will be competing to win a shield which will be presented by EST Ivybridge centre manager Bob Venn.
The match kicks off at 12.00pm and spectators will also be able to enjoy a BBQ and adopt donkeys from the charity.
