The Ivybridge centre is hosting a Barn Dance on Friday 25th May from 7.30pm to 11.30pm.
The Parents & Friends Association (PFA) at The Donkey Sanctuary’s Ivybridge centre, organising the evening of do-si-dos to raise funds for the centre.
Alongside the dancing there will be a caller and live band, a raffle, a hog roast and a bar to keep dancers refreshed. Tickets are £6 each for admission to the Barn Dance and must be purchased in advance by contacting the centre on 01752 690200.
The Bible reports that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey on Palm Sunday (which falls on 1st April this year), and each year international animal welfare charity The Donkey Sanctuary is asked to illustrate that link by taking donkeys to church.
Two Eccup charities are hoping locals will turn up the heat on Monday 2nd April by walking 20 feet over hot ash to raise funds for their work with local children with additional needs.
The Donkey Sanctuary’s Eccup centre provides donkey assisted therapy and is teaming up with Lineham Farm to track down brave Leeds locals who are willing to take on the Fire Walk. Participants will be given full training and all the support they need to go ahead with this once in a lifetime challenge.
International animal welfare charity The Donkey Sanctuary is holding a quiz night on Saturday 3rd March at 7pm to help raise funds for its donkey assisted therapy centre in Ivybridge.
The Donkey Sanctuary’s Filham Park centre provides riding therapy for children with additional needs and its Parents and Friends Association is organising a fun quiz night to raise funds for the centre so that it can continue to provide its free service.
Aleesha Davidson, one of our lovely volunteers, has kindly offered to do a 'sky-dive' to raise money for EST!
Aleesha has been volunteering at EST Ivybridge for over 2 years now, after completing part of her Duke of Edinburgh award at the centre. She helps with donkey care, assists with riding therapy lessons, and has run stalls at our fundraising events (summer/christmas fair).
EST Ivybridge is holding a Summer Fair on Saturday 18th June from 10am until 4pm with free admission and plenty of fun for the whole family.
The centre is hosting its annual Summer Fair which promises to be a fun-packed day for all. Activities available include traditional country fete games, Maypole dancing from St Pauls RC School, have-a-go dog agility from Canine Capers, Devon and Cornwall Constabulary Road Crime unit, have-a-go African Drumming, South Hams Hawks & Owls display, inflatables, Adopt A Donkey, a BBQ and much more! Admission and parking is free.
