Ivybridge
Officially opened on Friday 29th June 2007, we are situated in Filham Park, an established popular amenity for the local community in Ivybridge. Set in the beautiful Devon countryside, our centre is easily accessible, enabling us to provide donkey riding therapy for special needs children throughout the south-west areas of the country.
Around 150 children with special needs and disabilities from 30 local schools in the city and surrounding areas benefit from donkey riding therapy at this Centre each week.
Boomer's Back!
Hello my friends, sorry it has been a while – I’ve had a rather bumpy ride since my last blog!
At the beginning if the year life at EST Ivybridge was great as usual – working in the arena with the children, carting and relaxing with my mates. But, in April whilst playing in the field with the others, I over-did it a bit and really hurt my left foreleg. Guess these days I’m not as young as I feel!
Samuel
Samuel used to attend EST Sidmouth on a weekly basis, but now goes regularly to EST Ivybridge since it opened in 2007 as it is much closer to home and his school.
Donkey riding centre in need of volunteers
Posted 26th August 2009 by Claire ShapcottA donkey riding centre for children with special needs based in Ivybridge is appealing this week for volunteers to join its Parents and Friends Association (PFA).
The aim of the PFA group is to support The Elisabeth Svendsen Trust for Children and Donkeys (EST) by helping raise funds for its cause and to encourage parents, friends and supporters to be involved with its work.
